Each summer and fall the society presents a Speaker Series, a one day seminar focused on a specific topic. This single concentration provides a wonderful opportunity to hear a series of related presentations in detail, while also being able to share information with others interested in the same topic.
This year’s Fall Speaker Series will be held on Saturday, 15 October 2016, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Our featured speakers will be local genealogists, Ann Fleming, Ilene Murray, and Carol Whitton, who will give four talks designed to help you learn more about the paths your ancestors took from the old world to the new. They will give the following lectures:
- Discovering New Research Clues
- Leaving Home and Becoming an American
- Migrating from the Eastern U.S. to the Midwest
- Death Records: What Do They Reveal?
