Each summer the society presents a Speaker Series, a one day seminar focused on a specific topic. This single concentration provides a wonderful opportunity to hear a series of related presentations in detail, while also being able to share information with others interested in the same topic.
This year’s Summer Speaker Series will be held on Saturday, 22 July 2017, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Our featured speaker will be noted author and lecturer, James M. Beidler, who will give four talks designed to help you learn more about resources available online to help you with your German research:
- German Immigrant Waves: Contrasts and Sources
- Mining the Über-Sites
- All About Compgen.de
- Online German Church Registers, Duplicates, and Substitutes
