Daniel Dearborne Page was born on 5 March 1790 in Parsonfield, York Co., Maine, and died on 24 April 1869 at the age of seventy-nine in the District of Columbia. Daniel and Deborah Nash Young were married on 11 August 1818 in Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts. Deborah was born on 7 April 1789 in Scituate, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, and died on 19 January 1864 at the age of seventy-four in St. Louis, Missouri.

Daniel Page was the second mayor of St. Louis, from 1829 to 1833. He was first a baker, then a flour mill owner, and later a banker, railroad promoter, and real estate sub-divider. Page Boulevard in St. Louis is named for him.

Daniel and Deborah Page had the following children:

    1. Julia Ann Page was born on 9 August 1825 in St. Louis and died on 23 August 1899 at the age of seventy-four in Oakland, Alameda Co., California. Julia Ann and Henry Douglas Bacon were married on 2 May 1844 in St. Louis. Henry was born in 1817 in Granville, Hampden Co., Massachusetts. In 1848, he was with the Page & Bacon banking firm in St. Louis. Henry had moved to San Francisco, California, by 1866 and he died on 8 May 1893 in Oakland, Alameda Co., California. Henry Bacon and his father-in-law formed the banking firm of Page & Bacon in 1848. Their success led to the 1849 opening of Page, Bacon & Co.’s express office in San Francisco. This firm soon had branches in Sacramento, Sonora, and Honolulu. Business flourished until January 1855 when various factors compelled the St. Louis branch to close its doors. After 1870, Henry’s primary interest lay in properties in California and Arizona. There were many other investments. Chief of these was his purchase, in 1871 and 1873, of the Marengo Ranch, 1,036 acres of what is now South Pasadena. The Huntington Library, San Marino, California, holds the Henry Douglas Bacon papers.
    2. Caroline Maria “Carrie” Page was born on 26 February 1828 in St. Louis. She died on 12 May 1896 in Oakland, Alameda Co., California. Carrie married John Henderson Gay Jr., her first husband, on 23 November 1848 in St. Louis. John was born in 1828 in Iowa and died on 4 August 1849, just nine months after their marriage, at the age of twenty-one in Missouri. Carrie then married William Tell Coleman as her second husband on 11 August 1852 in Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts. William was born on 29 February 1824 in Cynthiana, Harrison Co., Kentucky. He died on 24 November 1893 in Sausalito, Marin Co., California.
    3. Francis Wyman “Frank” Page was born in November 1820 in St. Louis. He died on 13 September 1883 in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota. Frank and Jane Miriam Stoddard were married on 26 April 1844 in Allenton, Wilcox Co., Alabama. Jane was born on 2 June 1821 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and died in 1906 in Chester, Logan Co., Illinois.
