Robert A Freese was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on 20 March 1936 to Gene Freese and Lucille Simms. Before his marriage, Bob lived in St. Louis at 3937 Lafayette with his mother. Bob served in the U.S. Navy enlisting on 1 September 1954, during the Korean conflict

Bob married Kathleen Daley on 26 April 1970 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in St. Louis City. They lived at 5332 Mardel Avenue in St. Louis. This couple adopted three children from Chile, South America. Bob worked long hours as an appliance repair technician for Sears most of his working life. He helped many of his extended family members by fixing or advising on repairs for washing machines, dryers and refrigerators.

Bob was diagnosed with diabetes and eventually had amputations in his later years. He also had to undergo dialysis a couple times a week. His children were a comfort and joy to him

Robert was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on 7 January 2003. His funeral was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Crystal City and interment was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
