Frank Hrebec was born on 13 February 1891 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Mathias Hrebec and Anna Bokor.

Frank and his wife, Agnes, and her daughter Freda, age eight, rented a dwelling at 4200 Chouteau in 1920. In addition to Frank, Agnes, and Freda, the household included William and Cynthia Thomas, Agnes’s parents. Frank worked at Johansen Brothers Shoe Company before the Depression and William was a laborer at the railroad station. Neither Agnes nor Cynthia was employed. During the Depression, Frank found work as a custodian at Southwest High School. In the late 1940s, Frank was employed at Taussig School while residing at 4370A Swan Avenue. Frank applied for his Social Security card on 13 April 1956.

Frank and Agnes were members of Tower Grove Baptist Church. Frank Hrebec died on 11 July 1967 and Agnes M. (Thomas) Hrebec died on 3 April 1976; both are now resting in Lakewood Cemetery in Affton.
