A Week-Long Research Experience for those with St. Louis Ancestors
Do you have St. Louis roots? Have you been unsure of where to go or what to do in order to find your St. Louis ancestors? There is a wealth of information available in St. Louis, much of it located in several outstanding repositories. Here is your chance to avail yourself of local genealogical experts as you spend a week discovering your family history in St. Louis. You will have the opportunity to learn more about St. Louis libraries and government offices and to visit those that are of value to your research.

What Is the Purpose?
The week is intended to provide individualized assistance to those who have always wanted to research in some of St. Louis's finest repositories but didn't know where they were or what was available there. Some of the most knowledgeable local genealogists will be describing the collections, teaching introductory classes, and answering your specific research questions.
What is Included?
Previous Research Institutes have included hands-on experience at:
- St. Louis County Library
- St. Louis Public Library
- Missouri Historical Society Library and Research Center
- Mercantile Library
- St. Louis Circuit Court
- St. Louis County Courthouse
- St. Louis Genealogical Society Office

The week also includes:
- Introductory lectures given by experienced researchers
- Individual genealogical consultations throughout the week
- Special rates at a local hotel for out-of-towners
- Morning coffee and lunch (two days); welcome reception and farewell breakfast
Open to just twenty-five participants to ensure that everyone gets much-needed personal assistance, this week provides an exciting opportunity to further your St. Louis-based family history research.
