The St. Louis Genealogical Society provides a service to take photographs of St. Louis area places of genealogical interest.
The photographs may be of the...
- School that your grandparents attended
- Corner grocery that your uncle owned
- Church where your mother was baptized
- Park near your father's home where he played as a child
- Church where your parents were married
- Hospital where you were born
- Grave marker at your grandmother's cemetery
- Or virtually anything else that you may want to record for your family genealogy
Formats Available
Photographs are available in a format suitable for use in your computer genealogy program. High resolution photographs are also available in sizes up to 8 x 10 inches.
Estimated Costs
The cost will vary based on distance traveled, assessibility of the area, size and number of photos. High-resolution photos are priced additionally and include postage and handling. See the flyer for current pricing.
How to Learn More
Photographs can be requested and additional information obtained by using the StLGS Photographer for Hire form, which can be downloaded here in PDF format. The form is also available in the StLGS office, or by mail to the StLGS office. If requesting a copy by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped return envelope (SASE).
