Italian Special Interest Group | Print |

The Italian Special Interest Group provides a forum for those interested in their Italian ancestry to network, share genealogical research, and study and preserve their history, customs, and traditions. Co-sponsored by the St. Louis Genealogical Society and the Italian Club of St. Louis, the Italian Special Interest Group welcomes participants throughout the year.

The It-SIG leader is Ann Wittenberg. She can be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You are encouraged to send a message if you have a topic you would like to have covered or wish to present yourself at a future meeting of the SIG.

Someone in the group will contact you within a couple of days. You may also call the society office and leave a number and a preferred time of day to get back to you along with your question or input.

Genealogy questions concerning Italian research methodology and potential sources are handled at every meeting. Actual research of a specific family is not performed by the Italian-SIG although members often volunteer to be of short-term assistance. StLGS does offer limited research services on a fee basis for everyone.

Meetings, sponsored by the St. Louis Genealogical Society and co-sponsored by the St. Louis County Library, are held at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters.
